Prof Ts Dr Yap Eng Hwa
Prof Ts Dr Yap Eng Hwa is Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic) at Wawasan Open University, where he leads academic strategy, programme development, quality assurance, and the advancement of Open and Distance Learning (ODL), working closely with deans and stakeholders to deliver high-quality, industry-aligned education. He was the founding Dean at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, where he established three schools at its Taicang Campus: the School of Intelligent Manufacturing Ecosystem, the School of Robotics, and the School of CHIPS. He has held academic leadership roles at the University of Technology Sydney, the University of Nottingham Malaysia, and University College London’s former Australian campus.
