Premier Event Facilities at Wawasan Open University
Wawasan Open University (WOU) offers event organisers the opportunity to hold daytime and evening functions year round in a broad range of venues within the Homestead heritage mansion and the 12-storey Albukhary tower building at competitive rental rates.
The blend of the mansion’s old world charm and the contemporary architecture of the tower creates memorable experiences for guests.
The mansion, along with The Hall, The Loft and The Galleria provide elegant settings for dinners, launches and cocktail functions.
WOU’s fully equipped state-of-the-art theatres on the fifth floor of the tower can fit up to 400 people. These versatile venues are suitable for art performances, concerts, movie screenings, seminars and symposiums.
There are 17 seminar rooms on Level 2 of the Albukhary building. They are equipped with advanced audiovisual facilities to facilitate smooth trainings, presentations and workshops. Varying in size, these rooms can accommodate up to 80 participants.

A beautiful gallery suitable for exhibitions, the Galleria gives you ample space and serves as a gorgeous backdrop to complement your product launch or to showcase your artwork.
Open Garden Terrace
The very definition of class, our open garden terrace is sure to impress your guests with cool coastal breezes and a gorgeous view to match. Located on the fifth floor, it is fringed with classic Italian balustrades and waves a touch of magic over your cocktail parties or soirées.
Every bite is accompanied by a breath of fresh sea air. Your guests will thank you for a meal well served and a superb dining experience. Dining area is also available indoors.
This multi-purpose room is perfect for tea parties and gatherings or as a holding room for special guests.

Situated just outside the theatres, the exhibition foyer is an ideal holding area for guests and audiences. It makes for a great gallery for anything from art to artifacts. Plus, you can treat your guests to a stunning view of the straits while they browse and mingle.

Kindly be informed that the University is collecting a car parking fee of RM5.00 per entry from Guests with effect from 6th March 2015 at the entrance of the University Compound. The collection of this parking fee is to address the rising operating costs which includes security services, maintenance upkeep and insurance premium.
