Year 1

They will explore how artificial intelligence enables business innovation and transformation, while developing the analytical skills to make data-driven decisions through business intelligence and data analytics. Students will also gain insights into innovation and technology management, learning how organisations can leverage emerging technologies to remain competitive in a rapidly evolving digital landscape. The curriculum further cultivates an entrepreneurial mindset by examining digital business models, the digital economy, and opportunities for value creation through innovation. In addition, students will understand how organisations adapt to the digital age by exploring digital leadership, organisational change, and workforce transformation. The year concludes with the application of project management methodologies to successfully plan, execute, and monitor digital transformation initiatives, providing students with the strategic, analytical, and managerial competencies required for leading digital transformation across industries.

Year 2

In the second year, students will deepen their expertise by undertaking advanced studies that emphasise strategic, sustainable, and applied aspects of digital transformation. They will develop research competencies through research methodology and consultation, enabling them to critically investigate complex organisational challenges and support evidence-based decision-making. Students will also explore sustainable business practices, examining how digital technologies can drive long-term economic, environmental, and social value. The year culminates in a two-part Digital Transformation Project, where students apply the knowledge and skills acquired throughout the programme to address real-world organisational challenges. Entry Requirements
  • A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 as accepted by the HEP Senate; OR
  • A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and not meeting CGPA of 2.50 can be accepted, subject to a rigorous internal assessment; OR
  • A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in non-related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 as accepted by the HEP Senate and with relevant working experience, subject to a rigorous internal assessment; OR
  • A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in non-related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 as accepted by the HEP Senate and without relevant working experience, subject to passing pre-requisite courses; OR
  • Other equivalent/related qualifications to a Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) recognised by the Malaysian Government. OR
  • Through APEL (A) where the candidate needs to be a Malaysian citizen, should be at least 30 years of age in the year of application and possess relevant work experience. The candidate must have at least an STPM or diploma qualification and pass the APEL evaluation assessment.
APEL Entry: Turning Experience into Credentials

Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) is a possible pathway for you to pursue this program. If you lack formal academic qualifications but have valuable work experience, you are eligible to apply for APEL. APEL involves assessing your prior experiential learning to determine if it aligns with the desired learning outcomes for admission to this program.

To meet the admission criteria set by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) and the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA), through APEL (A) where the candidate needs to be a Malaysian citizen, should be at least 30 years of age in the year of application and possess relevant work experience.
