WOU welcomes new ODL students

The University welcomed more than 800 students today who had enrolled to pursue undergraduate and postgraduate programmes via open distance learning (ODL) in the January 2016 intake.

The orientation was simultaneously organised by the Regional Centres of Penang (PGRC), Ipoh (IPRC), Kuala Lumpur (KLRC), Kuching (KCRC) and Johor Bahru (JBRC) to acquaint students with WOU staff, tutors, the facilities and services through various interactive activities.

Following an audio-visual recording message by Vice Chancellor Prof Dato’ Dr Ho Sinn Chye, the freshmen had a taste of what to expect with the sharing on ‘Student Life at WOU’ by student representatives and alumni.  They then recited the students pledge as they began their journey at WOU.
