Over 40 senior academics from institutions of higher learning and senior management from the corporate sector attended a Learning4Content (L4C) workshop organised by WOU and the Commonwealth of Learning (COL)
The one-and-a-half-day L4C Workshop held at WOU was in support of WikiEducator’s L4C initiative and aimed at building capacity in Malaysia in the area of Open Education Resources (OERs).

DR SANJAY JASOLA FACILITATES THE WORKSHOP.
The workshop was conducted by Associate Professor Dr. Sanjay Jasola, formerly attached to WOU’s School of Science and Technology as course coordinator for computer science and information technology. He presented a hands-on training on how to create an account in WikiEducator and publish content pages.

PARTICIPANTS IN DISCUSSION.
The educators, teachers and trainers gained valuable insights on how to use WikiEducator and other wiki technologies to create and publish content.
Academics from Universiti Sains Malaysia, Disted-Stamford College, AIMST University, KDU College and WOU, as well as management personnel from Penang Skills Development Centre, Motorola, Jabil Circuit and AMD Export were among those who attended.
WikiEducator creates online communities whose members create educational content collaboratively, leading to the development of free content and OERs and producing a global collaborative education environment.

HANDS-ON TRAINING.
The COL is an intergovernmental organisation created by Commonwealth Heads of Government to encourage the development and sharing of knowledge, resources and technologies in the area of open distance learning (ODL).
