WOU Chancellor’s Scholarship Fund Launch in conjunction with “Road to Dawn” preview

A financial support programme to help needy and deserving students to pursue further education implemented under an umbrella fund called the Chancellor’s Scholarship Fund was launched at the Golden Screen Cinemas, Gurney Plaza. 

WOU had the honour of having Energy, Water and Communications Minister Dato’ Seri Dr Lim Keng Yaik, who is also WOU’s Council Chairman, to launch the scholarship fund. The programme aims to provide grants to financially strapped students who are determined and able to achieve academic excellence.

The launch was promptly held soon after the screening of the internationally-acclaimed movie, Road to Dawn, which is based on the life of Dr Sun Yat Sen, Father of Modern China, during his stay in Penang in the early 1900s.
