This increasingly digitally-led world has seen the digitalisation of operations and work processes across the industries. Industry 4.0 is characterised by the increasing digitisation in business models which has called for universities to modify and expand their curriculum to meet the growing demand for digital know-how.

Through this programme, students will learn specialised skills that help them stand out and stay relevant. These include applied digital marketing skills, Google analytics and business transformation, digital content creation, information security, and applied digital commerce.

They will learn the application of industry-used tools and acquire both theoretical and practical knowledge that facilitates the development and enhancement of problem-solving, strategic planning and critical thinking skills. As such, they will strive in a digitally evolving environment whilst gaining a multitude of practical and transferable digital skills and techniques.

Digital Business Venture

Students will discover how to determine Buyer Persona for products and services. They will also find out the importance of selecting appropriate Go-To-Market channels, both for online marketing purposes and offline distribution.

Google Analytics and Business Transformation

Students will learn how to set up Google Analytics and acquire insights from various reports, set up dashboards, customise reports, set and track goals, as well as perform conversion rate analysis.

Digital Content Creation

Students will gain an understanding of inbound marketing planning and content creation, content promotion and optimisation, email marketing fundamentals, implementation and optimisation of email campaigns, and marketing automation.​

Search Engine Optimisation

Students will conduct on-page and off-page SEO to boost website visibility in Google's search engine.

Social Media Marketing
  • Students will create their own marketing campaign in a number of websites comprising Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Snapchat, YouTube, Twitter, and Pinterest.

Learning Path

Students will be front-loaded with all the required technical skills through our Professional Training Camp (ProCamp). ProCamp offers the opportunity to  upskill for specialised job readiness and industry-relevant skills.

Students have the option to be deployed with our industry partners to secure real industry experience as an intern. They will continue to acquire digital business skills at a mastery level through part-time study and apply them in the workplace. They may also initiate their start-up journey now.

Students will learn the core business and management skills that help them understand the fundamentals of business. The combination of these skills and digital skills will make them all-rounded and play a pivotal role in building a successful career. For those on their entrepreneurship journey, WOU’s co-working space is immediately available for their start-up.

Students will possess a good amount of digital and business management knowledge at this point. They will need to choose the electives subjects that will enable them to master a specific area of knowledge.
