WOU’s seventh regional office for Malaysia located in the prime business area of Kuching is now fully operational. The Kuching Regional Office (KCRO) aims to promote WOU’s higher educational programmes delivered through open distance learning to the people of Sarawak and East Malaysia, beginning from the January 2010 semester.

Visitors, including working adults, are free to drop by the newly-renovated double-storey office at Westin Avenue, Jalan Tun Jugah, to find out how they can study and obtain tertiary qualifications while they work. The public are advised to use the Bank Rakyat, Simpang Tiga branch as their landmark to easily locate the office.
The KCRO is equipped with the necessary student support and resource facilities – library, counselling area, meeting and seminar rooms, and video-conferencing – to help prospective WOU students in their pursuit of higher learning through ODL.

The regional office in Kuching is run by director Jimmy Chai and his team, comprising of marketing and admission executives Mohamad Azaharani Seruji and Mary Liliana Chin, and marketing and admission officer Chan Shu Harn.
WOU plans to offer educational opportunities to more than 500,000 working adults in Kuching who desire at least a degree as they embrace lifelong learning for the purposes of self-improvement and career development.
Adult learners can take any of WOU’s 12 degree programmes offered by the School of Business and Administration (SBA), School of Science and Technology (SST), and the School of Foundation and Liberal Studies (SFLS). They may also pursue the Commonwealth Executive Master of Business Administration (CeMBA) or Master of Public Administration (CeMPA).
