In 2007, the Centre for Graduate Studies was established for the management of postgraduate studies with the aim to achieve excellence in postgraduate education and research training programmes in partnership with all Schools and collaboration with other centres of graduate studies, co-researchers from participating institutions and private-sector agencies. It offers research programmes on arts and humanities, social science as well as computing and technology.
Wawasan Open University (WOU) has established an Advanced Standing (AS) system to facilitate the granting of credit transfer from the students’ previously acquired qualifications into their intended WOU programmes. This will prevent unnecessary duplication of study, thereby reducing the total number of courses required by the students to graduate.
