Graduates of 2023,
We are pleased to announce that the 2023 Convocation will be held from 25-27 November 2023 at the WOU Main Campus, Penang.
Graduates are invited to register online via https://www.wou.edu.my/convocation as follows:

The following are some pertinent details about the Convocation that you must note. However, more information is available in the “Convocation Information Guide” which is published on the Convocation website.

DATE | 25-27 November (Saturday, Sunday & Monday) | ||||
SESSION DETAILS | Each day’s ceremony will be divided into multiple sessions. Graduates will attend only one of the sessions according to their respective programmes. Individual graduate’s session details will be published in the “Convocation Registration Slip” via Student Portal on 25 October 2023 (link will be sent via email by 25 October 2023). | ||||
GUEST TICKETS | Two (2) Guest Tickets per graduate will be provided to enter the ceremony hall upon check-in on the day of the ceremony. Children under the age of 5, as well as non-ticketed guests are not permitted to enter the ceremony hall. | ||||
DRESS CODE | Please be dressed in appropriate formal attire. | ||||
COLLECTION OF ACADEMIC DRESS | Academic dress can be collected earlier (regardless of your session) or on the ceremony day as stated in the Convocation Registration Slip. The dates for early collection of academic dress and photography are as follows:

RETURNING OF ACADEMIC DRESS | Academic dress must be returned on the ceremony day as stated in the Convocation Registration Slip. | ||||
COLLECTION OF SCROLL AND TRANSCRIPT | April 2023 graduates who have already collected the scroll and transcript are not required to bring along these documents and the scroll holder when you come for the Convocation ceremony. Graduates who have not collected the scroll and transcript can collect these documents after returning the academic dress on the ceremony day. | ||||
REHEARSAL | The Convocation rehearsal video includes guidelines for before, during, and after the ceremony. Please watch the video before coming to the Convocation ceremony at: | ||||
CALLING CARD | The Calling Card must be collected during check-in on the ceremony day. | ||||
LIVE STREAMING OF THE CEREMONY | There will be a live streaming of the whole ceremony via YouTube at: | ||||
CONVOCATION E-BOOKLET | The Convocation e-Booklet will be available at the Convocation website beginning 25 November 2023. | ||||
FLORIST | There will be florist selling flowers, bouquets and gifts at the Main Campus on the ceremony days. | ||||
PARKING | Limited parking is available within the WOU Main Campus premises. Parking inside the campus will be on a first-come-first-serve basis. |
