Financial assistance

Due to the flexible nature of the University's programme, your tuition fees in each semester depend on the number of courses for which you enrol.

There are numerous avenues to help finance your studies with WOU:

a. WOU Study grants
 
  Available to new students who meet specific income and English language criteria. Click for more information, including terms and conditions. To apply, download the WOU study grant application form
 
b. Employees Provident Fund (EPF)
 
  EPF contributors can withdraw from their Account II to support their studies.
To apply, please obtain the Borang KWSP 9H (AHL) and liaise with your nearest Regional Centre to obtain an official Offer letter from WOU and Statement of fees payable.

Note: WOU only charges fees on a per semester basis. Any excess EPF funds parked with WOU will not be construed as advance payment for tuition fee and is not interest bearing. 
 
c. Bank Loans
 
  Certain banks may provide study loans. Please check with your respective bank for further details.
 
d. Instalment Payments
 
  Instalment payment plans are available under special circumstances. Please consult your nearest Regional Centre for further details.
 
e National Higher Education Fund / PTPTN
 
  WOU Undergraduate Programmes qualify for PTPTN loans. Please refer to www.ptptn.gov.my/web/english/loans/terms for terms and conditions. Please contact your Regional Centre for assistance and advice.
 
f HRDF Claimable Training Scheme
 
  WOU courses and programmes are HRDF claimable by employers who are registered with  
Human Resources Development Berhad (HRDB). For details on terms and conditions, please consult your respective Human Resource Department. You can also refer to www.hrdf.com.my or contact the HRDF Customer Care at 03 2096 4600.
 
g Lifelong Learners/Orang Kurang Upaya (OKU) Discount
 
  WOU offers a discount of 50% for learners aged 55 years and above as well as those who are physically disabled and registered with the Social Welfare Department of the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development.
 
h 0% easy payment system
 
  WOU tuition fees qualify for a 6 month 0% easy payment scheme when you pay using a Maybank, Alliance or Hong Leong credit card. This only applies when you enrol at your nearest Regional Centre.
