The WOU students are studying various programmes through open and distance learning (ODL), where they are able to work and study at the same time. Yeoh said that they were happy to spend the few hours with the children despite being busy with assignments, work, family commitments and personal activities.
“Lifelong learning is only complete when we share ourselves with the less fortunate,” quipped Esther Tham, PSA assistant treasurer.
WOU, a private, not-for-profit educational institution tuition for working adults, aims to help elevate the economic status of workers by offering them second chances to further their higher education and enhance their professional career.
