Students hold simple Hari Raya open house

The newly-elected full-time, on-campus learning (OCL) Student Council of WOU hosted their first open house at the main campus, in conjunction with the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration.

The modest event held at the ground floor foyer of the Albukhary Building today saw students and invited guests from among the WOU academic staff mingling, interacting with the students, and feasting on delicious food.

Students also enjoyed themselves playing congkak and spinning the gasing, bringing focus to these Malay traditional games that have gone on the back burner in the face of online games and apps.

Kudos to the Student Council for their effort to promote harmony and to revive interest in the traditional games of the past!
