2.  ACCESS CARD

Q: What is an access card control system?
A: The University uses smart card system to control University building access and other purposes. Similarly, staff and student cards will be used to control library building access.

Access to WOU libraries is controlled by turnstiles. You will need a WOU access card to enter the libraries. Your student/staff functions as your card.

Q: I forget my card. Can I still enter the Library?
A: Library staff will need to ascertain if you are an eligible member. Upon confirmation, the staff will override the access card control system to enable you to enter the library.

Q: How do I report the loss of my access card?
A: If you have lost your access card, please report the loss to Circulation Desk immediately. The report can be made in person, via telephone or email. We will lock your account to prevent any misuse. You will be responsible for any misuse of the card during the period that the loss is not reported.

If the card is subsequently found, please inform Circulation Desk staff and request the Library to unlock your account. In addition to reporting the lost card to the Library, students must also report to the Regional office to obtain a replacement for lost card.
