Formerly known as Ask Jeeves, owns a variety of popular web destinations including country-specific sites. It comes along with other external links such as Ask For Kids, Excite, MyWay.com, Bloglines and several others.
- Business Search Engine (ITAH)
ITAH (Internet Technology Alliance Hub) provides a global business-to-business (B2B) searchings to businesses, products and services. It is a business community search engine specifically designed to perform B2B searching.
- Dogpile Search
Dogpile is a metasearch engine that fetches results from About.com, Ask.com, Google, LookSmart, MSN, Teoma, Yahoo! and several other popular search engines, including audio and video. Other features included are Favourite Fetches, SearchSpy, a daily joke, weather, horoscope, yellow pages, white pages and maps.
- Excite Search
Excite is an Internet portal with an included search engine. It is one of the most recognized brands on the Internet, and along with Yahoo! and Netscape as one of the pioneering "dotcoms" of the 1990s.
- Google Search
Google is the largest search engine on the web, receives millions of queries each day through its various services. It also provides services for searching images, Usenet newsgroups, news websites, videos, searching by locality, maps and items for sale online. It also operates other tools and services including Google News, Google Suggest, Froogle, and Google Desktop Search.
- Google Scholar Search
This is an academic journal search engine which provides a simple way to broadly search for scholarly literature. From one place, you can search across many disciplines and sources: peer-reviewed papers, theses, books, abstracts and articles, from academic publishers, professional societies, preprint repositories, universities and other scholarly organizations.
- Google Book Search

- Lycos Search
Lycos is an Internet search engine and web portal. The name "Lycos" is short for the Lycosidae, the wolf spiders, which actively hunt for their prey.
- MetaCrawler
This is a metasearch engine that searches results from About.com, Ask Jeeves, Google, LookSmart, MSN, MIVA, Yahoo! and other popular search engines. It also provides a toolbar for download.
- Monkey Look
Monkey Look is a hybrid search engine, officially launched in 2006. It is a relatively small search engine and it utilizes an open source directory and web crawler programs to search the internet. Anyone can add content to the directory by becoming a contributor. Its open source program is different than most though, because it offers monetary rewards to contributors. Monkey Look also provides regional searches.
- Yahoo! Search
Yahoo! Search became an original web crawler-based search engine in 2004, with a reinvented crawler called Yahoo! Slurp. It combined the capabilities of search engine companies it had acquired, with its existing research, and put them into a single search engine.
