Is there any other incentive apart from the “Early Bird Incentive"? |

Yes, we also have a "Group Incentive" scheme to encourage organisations to sponsor students. They are awarded only once for the semester of admission and is a fixed lump sum awarded to each student within that group.
If you are awarded a group incentive, you will not be entitled to the early bird incentive.

Is there any instalment scheme available? |

Yes, in exceptional circumstances and with the approval of the Regional Office Manager, you may be allowed to pay tuition fees in two instalments. However, the Processing and Administrative fee as well as the Resource and Services fee have to be paid in full.

When is the cut-off date for the two instalments? |
| A: |
You have to pay up 60% of the tuition fees for the first instalment by the first tutorial (week 1) and 40 % for the second instalment by the third tutorial (week 9). |

Are there any late charges if I were to pay my fees late? |

| A : |
Yes, a late payment fee of RM100 will be imposed if you do not settle your
fees by the second tutorial (week 5) and by the fourth tutorial (week 13) for students who were granted the approval for instalment scheme. |

Where can I seek financial assistance to support my studies? |
|
| A : |
There are numerous financial aid available such as:
a. Employees Provident Fund
(EPF)
If you have savings with the EPF, you can withdraw from your Account II to pay your fees.
Please contact your local EPF office to get a free Borang KWSP 9H (AHL). You will also need an offer letter from Wawasan Open as well as a statement of fees payable.
Please contact your Regional Office for help and advice.
b. Instalment scheme
In exceptional
circumstances and with the approval of the Regional Office Manager, you may be allowed to pay tuition fees in two instalments i.e. 60% by the first tutorial (week 1) and 40% by the third tutorial (week 9). The Processing and Administrative fee as well as the
Resource and Services fee, however, have to be paid in full.
c. Bank study loans
Study loans are available from various banks. For further information, please seek advice from your Regional Office.
d. Study Loan from National Higher Education Fund (Perbadanan Tabung Pendidikan Tinggi Nasional or [PTPTN])
Students of Wawasan Open are eligible to apply for loans from PTPTN. Please contact your Regional Office for help and advice.
e. Study grants
Several organisations, including Wawasan Education Foundation (WEF), the parent entity of Wawasan Open University, are sponsoring study grants. Please contact your Regional Office for advice and guidance.

What are the refund policies in Wawasan Open? |

If you have paid your fees in full and wish to drop a course or withdraw from the
university, the refund policies are as follows:
Dropping of Course(s)
1) 100% Refund of Tuition Fee
2) Forfeiture (RM100/course) of Tuition Fee
3) No Refund of Tuition Fee
* No refund on Resource & Services (R&S) Fee. |
Before the distribution period of course materials
Two (2) weeks before and two (2) weeks after commencement of the semester
From the 3rd week onwards |
Withdrawal from the University:
1) 100% Refund of Tuition and R&S Fees
2) Forfeiture (RM100/course) of Tuition Fee & forfeiture (RM50) of R&S Fee
3) No Refund of Tuition & R&S Fees |
