Senior Executive / Executive, Facilities & Maintenance (Penang - Main Campus)

Responsibilities:

  1. To manage all building maintenance contractors who are dealing with building services installation, plumbing & drainage systems and building structure, fabric fittings, furniture, etc.
  2. To establish and manage a procurement and inventory control system for equipment and fixtures for the University.
  3. To conduct on-the-job training and workshops for staffs within the planning, development and facilities maintenance functions of General Services and Administration.
  4. To assist the senior management in terms of formulation and implementation of Services Performance Survey.
  5. To be involved in any Building Maintenance-related Committees and act as Secretary, if necessary.
  6. To assist senior management in terms of designing and outlining the relevant University policies, procedures, guidelines and forms for the planning, development and facilities maintenance functions of General Services and Administration.
  7. To provide technical assistance in the University’s planning and development of its Headquarters and Regional Offices.
  8. To be responsible for the maintenance, upkeep and improvement of the University’s building facilities within the stipulated resource usage and budget.
  9. To act as intermediary between senior management, consultants, contractors and the authorities.

Requirements:

  • Diploma / Degree in Business Administration or equivalent in M&E / Estate Management / Property Management.
  • More than five (5) years experience in commercial and high-rise building facilities and maintenance management.
  • Able to work on on-call basis when necessary.
  • Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia.
