Infrastructure Support Analyst (Based in Main Campus, Penang)

Requirements

  • Candidate must posses at least a a Bachelor's degree in computer related field or equivalent with a least 4 years working experience in IT infrastructure management and operations support.
  • Additional professional certification in MCSE/MCSA, CCNP/CCNA .etc will be advantages.
  • Must have In-dept knowledge in RAID, SAN, NAS and virtualization technologies in x86 platform with some prior experience on clustering, high availability and disaster recovery procedure.
  • Must have significant experience with complex, high-volume networking architecture and detailed understanding of all levels of the OSI stack.
  • Must have broad background in planning, installing, supporting networks with multiple/cross-platform environment in Windows & Linux, IIS and Apache web services technologies.
  • In-depth understanding with extensive hands-on experience in LAN and WAN technologies, routers, switches, load balancers, security dvices, network protocols (LDAP, Windows Active Directory, Novell e-Directory, SNMP, VPN, IPSec, etc)
  • A good team player and able to work independently and under pressure. Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.
  • Experience with any or all of the network/security devices or products on Cisco, Checkpoint, Bluecoat or Radware, Netapp SAN storage, Novell Groupwise.

The Job

  • Install, configure and administer the servers in both Window & Linux platform and the associated application services such as IIS, Apache, DNS, .etc.
  • Responsible for Active Directory, e-Directory and LDAP Directory setup, configuration, support, monitoring, administering of user clients: add, modify, delete users and maintenance.
  • Monitor physical server and operating system, which include rectifying of issues, carrying out OS security patching (client & server) & testing.
  • Perform system backup & recovery, security and data backup, configuration change and control management.
  • Responsible for vendor management, liaising with SI on problem rectification and forward planning.
  • Administer LAN/WAN networking/data communication technologies such as CISCO switches, routers, wireless LAN, VPN, Security devices, Link and Server balancers, etc.
  • Responsible for performance monitoring, optimisation, capacity planning, and infrastructure security.
