Intan Osman (DBA) is currently an Associate Professor of Management at the School of Business and Administration (SBA), WOU.  She served as Dean of SBA from Aug 2016-July 2017.

A former Associate Professor at the Faculty of Business and Information Science, UCSI(2015), Women’s Development Research Centre (KANITA, 2009-2014), and School of Management, Universiti Sains Malaysia since 1978,  Intan has taught undergraduate, masters (MBA) and doctoral (DBA) students in the Business /Organisation including Management, OB, HR, Organisational Change, Strategic Management, and Entrepreneurship.  Within higher institutions in Malaysia, she was a guest lecturer for Entrepreneurship and Strategic Management MBA programme at Continuing Education of International Islamic University and OUM. Her current teaching workload is Strategic HR, International HR and Research Methods.

She researched in Women, Women & Health and Country Domestic Violence, Empowering Women in Micro-Credit, CSR and Gender Mainstreaming, Wellness, Leadership and Entrepreneurial Values, both international and collaborative projects under Nihon Fukushi University, Japan; Women Entrepreneurs, Human Resource Effectiveness, an international collaborative project headed by the University of Victoria and a Malaysian research in Pap Smear Screening and Cancer of the Cervix.

Internationally, Intan tutored at the Faculty of Business and Management and Adult Education Programme, University of Stirling, Scotland (1988 -1989); served as a short-term visiting lecturer/scholar at Taskent Technical College, Uzbekistan (1997); Nihon Fukushi University and Nanzan University, Japan (2003); Northern Sumatra University (2003-2007); and Faculty of Management, University of Lethbridge, AB, Canada (2001-2010).  Her scholarly achievement was the Chair of Burns Endowment, University of Lethbridge, Canada (Sept - Dec 2013).

She worked with several consultants in projects including Bumiputra Participation in Energy Sector (TNB) Employee Satisfaction (MMCs), E-Declare for Penang Custom (PDC and State), and Empowering Supervisors at St Nicholas Penang and Women in Decision Making in Penang (USM & State Economic Planning Unit).  As trainer, Intan developed modules and trained working adults in Leadership (PNB), Effective Management and Supervision (Sharp Roxy, FMM, Otis), Mini MBA, Advanced Diploma in Manufacturing (Intel), Diploma in Management, Diploma in Supervisory Management (MIM, MIPM) and several more companies during her tenure with USM and Sowers Associates Sdn Berhad. 

She presented papers in international conferences on OB, Small Business Enterprise, Team Effectiveness, Women in Health, Micro-Entrepreneurship, and Microfinance in Canada, USA, Australia, New Zealand, Turkey, Norway, England, Ireland, Korea, China, Japan, India, Pakistan and Thailand. She has written as author and co- author chapters of the books, papers and games published nationally and internationally. In addition, Intan has graduated a number of PhDs, DBAs, Masters and MBAs while serving at USM.

Her corporate experience (1982-1985; 1990-1993) was in training and development for two multinational manufacturing companies and a local training and educational consultancy firm which were the career break in between being an academician.
