Programme description

The aim of this programme is to provide knwoledge and teaching skills for those who want to be primary school teachers and also those want to upgrade their knowledge and teaching skills.

This programme is designed to:

  • provide students with knowledge of contemporary educational theories and research related to primary school education
  • develop competencies in effective teaching including good subject knowledge and sound professional skills
  • produce graduates who are capable of curriculum innovation, school management reform and leadership to bring about continous improvement
  • train teachers with Diploma or Certificate of Education to pursue an education degree for professional development, life-long learning and life enrichment purposes

Job prospects

Graduates of the Bachelor of Education (Hons) in Primary Education degree will qualify for appointment as Graduate Teachers in primary schools. Graduates would also be ready to undertake postgraduate studies to further their academic and professional development.
